SI & EZ THREADS GIVEAWAY

click on logo to visit the shop
I came across Si & Ez Threads on Instagram.  These adorable t-shirts stood out to me because they spoke life over the little ones wearing them.  One t-shirt in particular stood out, Little Warrior, a prayer we’ve always said over Marin, you know…that she would be strong, courageous and ready to stand up for what is true and good in this world.
The cute vintage tee company was started by a mom and dad who love dressing their boys, Silas and Ezra, in clothes that speak their destiny over them.  Refreshing in this world we live in –right?  Not only are the designs so cute, but  Si & Ez Threads gives back 10% of all they make to the community so it's a product to feel so good about.  I love a product with purpose and if you do too, it is pretty much your lucky day because you can enter below to win your choice of any one of these limited edition tees.

Okay, so here's how you can WIN one of these! Or any from their online shop.
First, check out some of these blogger buddies of mine who are teaming up with me to bring these tees your way. (click on for link)

TOP 10 SIGNS WE'VE COME DOWN WITH A FIFA FEVA (YEAH THAT'S BAD)

10. Marin ended up with this wild head of hair during that nail biting game today.
9.   When accidently stubbing a toe or running into each other, we roll on the ground and hold our necks.
8.  Marin has started kicking her ball around the house, a new milestone. Even the babe is getting in on the action!
7.   I spent an entire baby's nap reading random facts about the World Cup.  Yikes.
6.   I may or may not have woken up a bit cranktastic but quickly kicked the bad attitude when I remembered today was USA vs. Belgium. (Might have to cry myself to sleep on that one.)
5.   I have begun narrating the days events in a British accent, but mostly in my head, luckily for everyone.
4.  We have replaced the word zero in our vocabulary with “nil”
3.   We are considering the name Tim Howard for future children (boy or girl)

I TAKE MY JUMPSUITS LITERALLY

As the evidence from date night shows, I’m on a bit of a jumpsuit binge lately.  So let’s chat about the perks of a jumpsuit because they are bountiful, friends.

1.) There is no stress over matching a shirt and pants...it’s just too much sometimes, no?
2.) Now for the perk that some mistake for a jumpsuit quandary- urination.  Okay, so it takes a while, and your hubby will start to wonder what happened to you because you are usually pretty quick when visiting the ladies room.  But then comes the upside.  You will hear a small knock on the door and your hubby saying, “You okay, sweety?”  Then you will smile and remember what a catch of a guy you have. This will be followed by feeling all googly-eyed and in looooove.  It’s basically a romance novel wrapped into one outfit.
3.) And last but not least, you have that rare and coveted photo opportunity to take the name of this particular article of clothing literally.  And what other piece in your closet allows for such a brilliant stroke of coincidence?

Yep, not a single downside, well, only if you wear a nude belt that could possibly be mistaken for your stomach by a few passersby.  Minor detail when you have this here jumpsuit to fall back on.

I’m off to attack this Monday in my yoga pants.  Whomp whomp.
Until our next jumping occasion.

xx,

OUR WEEKEND: "THE MAN" SANDWICH

On Friday night Andy and I wiped the dust off of an almost-expired gift card for the movie theater and went to see The Fault in our Stars.  Initially I did the I’m going to finish the book first thing, but that always leads to disappointment, so I did a switcheroo on that mantra and was so glad I did.
I loved the movie, minus all the oblivion propaganda.  I mean death can be an eye opener (not that I’m saying anyone dies in it or anything), but death with out hope and glory and kingdom-come leave me feeling a bit dried up and more just glad that this was a fictional thing and not the memoirs of two real kids somewhere in this world.  Whoa, heavy stuff here.   So yeah, minus the oblivion, I squealed and cried with the best of em.  Andy thought Augustus was the man, and he pretty much was.

Sunday was the other end of the emotional rollercoaster.  We watched the USA vs. Portugal soccer game with my family.  So many highs and lows and so much fun. The first goal was a sigh of relief that we were tied.  By the second goal, oh yeah, we thought it was in the bag.  Then came Ronaldo with the perfect pass, and we probably weren’t the first hearts that guy has broken.  Ronaldo, you struck again, and no offense to my team because I will be cheering for them again on Thursday, but for this one we say to you also...you are the man.

Do people still say that?  Well, we do. Happy Tuesday, friends!

OFFICE DREAMS.

mirror//loveseat//curtains//area rug//wallpaper//wall art//pillow//stools//desk

It's a lazy Saturday around our house, and I've been doing a bit of decor dreaming, specifically for the upstairs room in our house that is looking a bit empty and lonely.  I can't help but hope we have an office in our future that looks a bit like this. ;)

Hope you are having a happy weekend, friend.

UNORDINARY THINGS HAPPEN IN ORDINARY OUTFITS

I dream in Neutral

In our day-to-day life, I pretty much wear the same thing on repeat.  In my dreams I wear designer clothes, but that’s also the dream where I shower every day.

So, this is basically it, and I love it because it’s comfy and cute.  It’s right there in that sweet spot where twenty something meets thirty something. It’s also the kind of outfit I could meet my neighbors in because it says I look like I could have been at lunch with a friend or gardening or paying bills. It’s just all around neautral, but not boring neutral, more like Switzerland neutral.  It’s a good everyday type of thing.

Some parts of our life stay the same from day-to-day, like this outfit. I find comfort in the constants.

But some parts of life keep changing, a different quirk every day, which I also find comfort in.

Last week while wearing these exact clothes, I got that mischievous look in my eye and waltzed over to Andy sitting on our bed. He was unaware a predator was approaching. I dropped Marin on his lap, already out of her messy dinner clothes.  I then yanked off her diaper and ran away yelling “The diaper terrorist has struck!” He looked at me like…righhhhht, just before letting me know Marin was wetting my side of the bed.

I was also wearing this outfit last weekend.  Andy was getting ready to use our new electric mower, so Marin and I sat at the window to wave and smile at Dada mowing the lawn.  For some reason I didn’t expect the lawnmower to have an actual chord.  Up one side, move the chord out of the way, and back down he went.  Marin kept yelling Dada and for some reason I couldn’t quit giggling at the sight of it all because it looked like he was vacuuming our lawn while a mini human cheered him on.  I can’t wait until next Saturday.  I will bring my bag-o-popcorn.

Happy Thursday, friends. I’m off to launder my outfit, so I can jump out of my other staple, my pajamas.

Xx
